Woodlands Hunt club is a great opportunity for local released pheasant, Chuckar, and Turkey hunting. While all birds are pen raised my dogs don’t know the difference and I enjoy the training opportunity. The owner, Mendel is friendly and accommodating. During the last year a dining- clubhouse has been added. A couple of clay throwers are available for warming up your targeting before going into the field as well. Bird cleaning is also available for a small fee. Fields are primarily agricultural.

Just got home from another great pheasant hunt. Love this place! Mendel is awesome and always puts on a good time. We had a group of 8 this time and a 40 bird card. The only thing that could make it better would be if Mendel banned Phil, but can’t win them all I guess. Definitely will be back.

AMAZING HUNT!!! Can’t say enough amazing things about Mendel and his amazing dogs! So full of energy constantly helping out whenever he can. This was my first hunt and definitely won’t be my last! Such an amazing experience!

Myself and a friend hunted pheasant at Woodland’s last week. The experience was excellent. Mendal is a tremendous host. The birds were a plenty and the action was fast. Mendal’s dogs were fantastic and put us on lots of birds.

John D and myself hunted at Woodlands Hunt Club yesterday. We took advantage of the 5 bird Super Pheasant Hunt. Mendel planted 10 pheasants for us and Alex was our guide and dog handler. What a hunt. As soon as we pulled up to our field a chukar popped up and John bagged it. We ended up with 12 pheasants and the chukar. All we’re great flyers. Then Mendel furnished a great lunch while our birds were being processed. We’ve been hunting with Mendel for years and will continue to do so.

Me and my wife came out and did the ultimate turkey and pheasant hunt. Mendel and his guides put us on the birds! We each got a turkey and 5 total pheasants. He even gave us a discount because we were military. Mendel is an outstanding Gentleman and the hunting was awesome! They even cleaned our birds for us.

Thanks again Mendel for another great hunt! This place is fantastic! Just like wild bird hunting! Explosive flushes, great dog work, five stars!We will be returning year after year and have been going for many years already! Thanks again for another great time, Jerry

Thank you Mendel Woodland and Woodlands Hunt Club for hosting the Special Liberty Project on our first Veteran Hunt of 2021. The Special liberty Project Veteran Pheasant Hunt was an absolute success. The 6 Veterans that hunted had an absolute blast, learned new lifelong skills, and experienced true healing. Thank you to Mendel, Woodlands Hunt Club for hosting us and the Special Liberty Project for allowing me to be apart of such a amazing event.

Amazing awesome time! My first hunt and it blew me away! Mendel’s dogs are so cute and adorable. They were so happy to hunt! What a pure joy! I was expecting dove and got pheasants! What a blast! Perfect for Christmas dinner for the holidays!

This will be my fourth year hunting at Mendel’s for pheasants and I am completely satisfied with his operations. I have hunted at three other pheasant hunt clubs and I would rate Mendel’s as substantially superior to them. I have hunted wild pheasants for five decades and spent the majority hunting in alfalfa in Mexicali, Mexico. The pheasants that Mendel puts out for the hunter’s fly extremely well and behave just like wild birds. Be safe and hope to see you down there.
